New South Wales Golf Club

On Monday evening, we dined in Altitude Restaurant, overlooking Sydney Harbour; fantastic menu and views. Tuesday, we were back on the golf course at New South Wales Golf Club. Designed by Alister MacKenzie in 1927, New South Wales is a fixture in the world’s top 50 golf courses. A links style course just outside of Sydney, the views over Botany Bay are stunning, and in true MacKenzie style the greens are fast with multiple breaks and levels that require a keen eye to correctly read. The weather felt slightly Scottish today, overcast with a bit of wind and very light rain for just a few holes (but mid to high sixties, so warm), offering a true links experience all the way round. Kalos golfers came off the course feeling challenged, but universally thrilled at having played this wonderful course. Once back in Sydney, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset as we cruised Sydney Harbour. Off to Bali next!
